Radiohead's CREEP jazzy what now?

Posted by hania - August 27th, 2015

So this is a little weird, but stay with me here... I really like Radiohead's song CREEP. I really do. I like it so much that I wanted to make a cover of it, but to cover an already perfect track in the same musical style is... well... not something I'd do. Why change a perfect thing?

SO INSTEAD I totally changed the mood and went full FINGER SNAPPY TIME.

The video is something I whipped up from all my outtakes of previous video's I've done for the world wide interwebs ... I mean, the song is about someone who isn't quite right - which is me, generally speaking. And I'm OK with that. :)

IN OTHER NEWS

, the last two weeks have been pretty exciting! I experienced my first ever American Football game between the Colts and the Eagles. We ended up (magically, somehow) in a kick-ass suite with unlimited booze, food and the most awesome view of the game! And the Eagles cheer leaders even came to the room for a visit. They told me my dress was adorable. I totally blushed.

THE ROOM movie night was a complete success!

I had the rules up on the fireplace:

  • Drink when someone walks through a door
  • Drink when someone says "Oh Hi (Character name)"
  • Drink when you see a rose or a spoon and;
  • Down a whole glass of something when you hear the line " YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!"

Honestly, you'd get hammered just from the door rule. But stupid us decided to follow each and every stupid rule and to no surprise we were off our face by the end of the movie. Then we opened a Polish spirit in a mandolin shaped bottle, some chocolate wine and something red and started to mix that to create shots I don't know but the next day was death for us and I've sworn off booze for at least another week. SUCCESS!

A few days later, we babysat 2 dogs! Yay! One was a black lab that took a shit on my deck (he's super old, it wasn't his fault) and the other, another (more fun) version of my carpet. :)

After the week of dog-sitting, we went to Six Flags Great Adventure with my Roller Coaster Junkie-in-training Niece and we took her on her first ever adult roller coaster. NITRO. Immediately after that, she dared to ride her first ever looping coaster; BIZARRO! I'm so extremely proud of her efforts! She's only 11!! It was a really awesome day. :D

MORE MUSIC NEWS

I made a new song a few days ago called "TO BE SUPER" and I'm working on figuring out some video stuff for it.

If anyone wants to help brainstorm some ideas, message me. Music is my thing; video making... not so much. So all and any help is appreciated!

Or even email me directly: music@myhaniart.com

Seriously, if you want to help me figure out what to do, email / message me and I'll send you to the track to ponder on. ;)

APART FROM THAT, I'm working on a video clip for Manu Forti and my song "Turn The Lights On" - it's (hopefully) going to be the bees knees and up within the next 2 weeks. He and I finished another track the other day called "The Ride". You can LISTEN TO IT HERE. And we're almost done on another track (just needs guitars) ... so you could say we're on a roll and pretty much on the edge of releasing an album with all the songs we've got in the bank!

Whelp, that's my update of the last 2 weeks. Time to continue on doing what it is that we all do. Probably go play some newgrounds games or jump on pintrest. There are a range of options.

Thanks for reading!

All that, and you come back to this boring place on the internet... no idea why.

How can it be boring if you're here too!

Awesome stuff as usual...almost thought you retreated from NG!

I'm always lurking. :D That sounded weird. I'm always around, might not speak up often though. There... that's better.

Well it's boring here compared to a married life, career, stuff like that. My family farm sold and I've got 3 weeks to amscray, find another place to live for a few months, then find a buy a new farm.. I hope. I've got a dozen outside cats here, want one?

If you said dogs... I'm not a cat person. Sounds like you've got a busy time ahead! I've heard of people getting a nice bit of land and renovating a shipping container into an amazing home... I read your latest post and it seems like you've got it all worked out though. But a kick-ass shipping container house would be pretty cool :p I know a guy who turned one into an awesome recording studio back in Australia. Although we have snow here... not sure how that would keep during winter. Hmm.

Even cargo trailer would work, I've seen that too, insulation and (tree) shading work wonders. Might go that route, but with winter fast approaching, I might as well sit tight somewhere, take the time to find a good spot to unload my crap.

Or I could just sell all my shit, and swim to Australia, eh? It is me, or are prices much lower there than here?

Actually I'd say they're the same as New Jersey, if not higher. Depending on where exactly you go in Australia, the cost fluctuates, but here's an example of what I was paying while there... about $3600 on just basic living (per month) expenses; rent, phone, internet, car, fuel, electricity, and groceries. So that doesn't include eating out ($14 will get you an egg on bread with two spinach leaves and a garnish of pepper... $4.50 will get you 1/8th of a small avocado on the side and $16 will get you a basic cocktail. BUT YOU DON'T TIP ANYONE!) or buying clothes/ furniture etc... cars are WAY more expensive in AUS too.

On the plus side, the Aussie dollar is currently really shit in comparison to USA, so if you took a bucketload of money, you'd be well off. ;) USD $1 = AUD $1.41 currently.

Thank you so much Mrs. Hania! I've got NG friends in the south-central your old homeland, but one's well off, and the other's living out on the fringe... so their points of view could be a bit skewed :p I'm kinda saddened that food prices are so high, shame I can't haul the John Deere tractor over there...

Living in north Jersey's no financial picnic either O_O though it's probably worse in the south, where there's a new town every 5 miles or so. If fatso could get more towns to consolidate services/responsibilities, this could be a good place to live.

Christie hey? I have a bunch of political opinions, but I'm too timid to voice them online. A conversation for us over coffee, perhaps. lol.

Wise choice! Besides, it'll become academic to me once I move out of state anyway. I'm a country boy, and need to find somewhere less congested and more practical to live, like PA. It's just sad how my friends and family here have already written me off :(

So how's married life, got all the paperwork and insurance forms taken care of yet?

They write you off cause you're moving?! Just don't root for the Flyers (or the Rangers) and we can still remain friends. ;)

Married life is awesome. We're getting a puppy! I'm so pumped about that. Puppy pumped.

On the boring end, all the insurance etc has been taken care of - now just finishing up my adjustment of status to become a real person and get a social security number. Lol. Never EVER thought I'd have one of those but HERE I AM!

He's worth it. Also... puppy. The puppy is also worth it. But the puppy will never have a social security number. #fact
