24 Animations in 24 Hours

Save the Date - Saturday the 11th September 2010 (in a few days) 8:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time.

James and I have set ourselves a challenge to get 24 animations done in 24 hours straight! The cool thing though, is that we'll be live on stickam.com the whole time! You'll see us in our computer room, where both James and I will be working, eating, power napping - whatever. As well as everything James draws on his Cintiq.

Not only are we putting ourselves out there for everyone to see how we work, we're also wanting to animate the ideas YOU come up with! (as long as they're not too vulgar or obscene) If we go with your idea, we'll credit you as inspiration :D

12 inch. They're awesome! You're gonna have fun with yours for sure :D James says make sure to wipe the dust off it every day - he didn't and there's tiny scratches in it now. :(

I started writing the response, but it was a novel - best to direct you to Jame's Blog www.tarboy.com where he's written up the rules that we've set ourselves and the potential outcome/ goal of this challenge :D

This is cool. Last weekend we did a live podcast of a 24 hour collab, but it was just 1 animation and 10 animators working on it. I'm interested to see how this goes. Good luck both of you! :)

Most people might manage one animation in 24 hours, but you're taking this to a new level. I'm not even sure how that's supposed to work. But you're both highly talented so I'm sure it will turn out better than I expect. GO FOR IT.

I'll be doing the music, sound design and if James needs me to; I'll help animate as well. James and I will both do voice acting if the animation requires it. And I'll be serving him water and coffee. ;)
